Star-Studded Wimbledon: Kohli, Anushka, Federer Watch Djokovic’s Comeback

July 9, 2025 - A special moment was seen on the Centre Court of Wimbledon 2025, when Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma came to watch the match of tennis legend Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur. Many other sports stars were also present, including England cricketer Joe Root and fast bowler James Anderson.

Djokovic Makes Strong Comeback

In the fourth-round match, Djokovic made a strong comeback after losing the first set 1-6. He went on to win the next three sets 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, defeating de Minaur and moving forward in the tournament.

Kohli's Post on Djokovic

After the match, Kohli posted a story on Instagram, praising Djokovic’s brilliant performance. He wrote: “What a great match! It was just a normal day for Djokovic — like a gladiator!”

Kohli also tagged Djokovic’s official account @djokernole in the post.

Federer Also Present

Tennis legend Roger Federer was also present in the stadium to watch this exciting match. After his win, Djokovic showed respect to Federer and called him a true legend.

In his post-match interview, Djokovic said: “This is probably the first time he is actually looking at me and I won the match. I lost the last time, so it felt good to break that curse.”

He added: “It’s great to have Roger here, a huge champion, a man I deeply admire and respect. We’ve shared the stage for many years. It’s wonderful to have him back at his favourite tournament. He’s the most successful player here — no doubt.”
