Udaipur's Sirjan Singh Deol Wins Bronze at SGFI National Swimming

A student of St Anthony's Senior Secondary School, Sirjan Singh Deol won bronze in the 200m breaststroke at the SGFI National Swimming Championship

Udaipur, Dec 2, 2025 - Sirjan Singh Deol, a student of St Anthony's Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, has won the bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke at the ongoing SGFI National Swimming Championship in Delhi. He clocked 2 minutes 27.99 seconds in the event.

Sirjan has already won numerous medals at the district and State levels and now has proven himself a true contender for the national stage. The youngster will now compete in the 100-metre event on Wednesday.

This information was shared by the school Principal William D'Souza.

Additionally, a team led by St Anthony's Aniruddha Sahu put up an impressive performance at the SGFI National Chess Championship, securing the ninth spot in Tripura. A win in the final round would have guaranteed the team a top-four finish, but a narrow loss in a close contest forced the team to settle for the ninth place.

Also Disha Mod of the same school participated in the chess competition but her team finished at the 16th spot.

The school authorities expressed pride in the achievements of its students on a national platform.
